Our Story

Moncony Farm has deep roots in Spencerport, New York. The Hill family farmed land in Spencerport for generations and played an important role in the local community, including contributions to the Brockport Central School District. Fredrick Hill was instrumental in centralizing the Brockport, Clarkson, and Hamlin school districts, and Hill Elementary School in Brockport is named in his honor.

Moncony farms once consisted of three dairy farms - one located on Pine Hill Road in Spencerport, and two on West Ridge Road. When identical twins, Warren and Russell Hill, retired from farming, they developed part of the land into what is now Twin Hills Golf Course. The third farm, located at 5588 W. Ridge Road, remains agricultural land and is where Moncony Flower Farm grows today.

To honor the Hill family legacy, I named this farm Moncony (MON = Monroe + CO = County + NY = New York) and designed our signage to reflect the original Hill farm signs. Today, Moncony Flower Farm continues as a family-owned, intentionally small business. This allows us to offer personalized attention, quick response times, and a strong focus on quality - ensuring thoughtful service and beautiful, farm-fresh flowers for our customers.

It's a flower farm - why is there a dairy cow on the sign?
